Archon Capital is a private investment office founded by entrepreneur and investor Steven Joung.
Steven Joung
Steven Joung is an entrepreneur, operator and investor with experience spanning financial technology, real estate, software, healthcare and private-company investing.
His career has given him the opportunity to experience companies from several perspectives: as an executive, founder, board member, advisor and investor. That experience informs Archon's approach today.
Steven's operating career includes serving as Chief Operating Officer of Enova Financial and later co-founding Pangea Properties, helping build a vertically integrated residential real estate platform that grew to more than 13,000 apartment units.
Steven was a founding board member and early investor in Avant. Through Archon he has since invested in entrepreneurs across technology, financial services, healthcare and real estate.
Archon does not pretend to be the expert in every industry in which it invests. We seek founders with unusual domain expertise, intellectual curiosity, integrity and the ability to execute.
Steven is a longtime member of Hyde Park Angels and has participated in company evaluation and diligence while investing directly in select opportunities introduced through the network.

After spending much of his career building companies and investing in Chicago, Steven is now based in San Diego. Archon invests selectively across the U.S. while developing deeper relationships within the Southern California entrepreneurial community.

Phillip is a longtime advisor to Archon and a trusted partner in evaluating investment opportunities, particularly across healthcare, technology and emerging businesses.
He has been instrumental in introducing and evaluating several Archon portfolio companies and regularly provides Steven with perspective on new investment opportunities.
